ABOUT

The Sports Media Society for Women is a student-run organization at Temple University that I founded in 2019. It is the first organization at Temple dedicated to supporting and advocating for women pursuing careers in sports media. Our mission centers around diversity in the workplace, and we showcase our mission through the leadership of the executive board, discussions between members, and prominent guest speakers. We are especially proud to provide opportunities for students and bring attention to intersectionality within our community. These actions create a foundation for our members to build connections within the industry, enhance their toolkits, and compel them to feel empowered in reaching their goals.

I served as the organization's first President from February 2019 to December 2019.
